get ready for a long post....
we have a couple of the nina ottoson ones.
Plastic dog tornado - She figured this out quite quickly. even with the bones in place. Not quite sure she did it properly, as she is very 'paw-y' and ends up getting frustrated and hits it - making the bones fall out and then easy to push around the levels with her nose!
Dog twister plastic - this is my favourite one so far. Takes her the longest. Again, prefers to use her paws as opposed to her mouth/nose, but takes her longer to get these out. I like the fact that bones have sticks on the bottom so you cant just push them out of the way, you actually have to use the mouth to pick them up. then she paws the compartments to move them. quite funny to watch her as she willl try for a few moments, bark, walk away come back, growl, try again, walk away, repeat.
i think we also have dog smart plastic? Or maybe it used to be called dog magic? She likes this one as well, and i think it is a bit harder than the tornado, as she has to move more objects to get to the treats.
i'm very much looking forward to getting a few more.
and, i use them on the cats as well! (they can do the tornado, but struggle a bit with the other two- probably because they get really bored!
We also have a couple of different food dispensers. we have a 'tug a jug' which she prefers to chew on the rope and then swing the toy around via the rope, preferably at your lap, a normal treat ball, and a treat ball which has different compartments, so you have to roll it and only sometimes it comes out. with all three she likes to pick them up and slam them back down - probably because if she does it with a kong frozen food comes out.0 -

Harmony - glad you like the link, hope you will be able to find something nice for Sam.
Personally I do not have any of those toys for Zara, may get some though as saw them ages ago and they do look good - just a bit worried with Zara's size and strenght.. they probably would not last too long

I have the one in Gettingready's picture above. It's good value as it's double-sided! My Sheltie enjoys playing with it and so does one of my Maine Coone cats."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

i let my neighbour's dog (German Shepard) borrow the Dog Tornado.
A couple of the removeable bones had little teethmarks in them, but nothing major. (and only because she left it out and it smelled like dog treats!)
I've had ours a few years and there hasn't been any real damage.0
