Royal Mail/Parcelforce Question.

Hi.

My friend has sent me a package from the USA via USPS.

He gave me the tracking number and I have been checking it.

I wake up this morning to see that the status had updated to 'Attempted Delivery at 1.30am' :eek: I know this may be US time, but we didnt have a knock on the door or anything in the morning.

Anyways I check on Royal Mail Tracking (As I thought It was probably them who pick it up this end) and it says;

Service; Express 48
Status; Held

I was just wondering if anyone knew what this meant.

Thanks.

  • In all my experiences with PF, held means taken to my local Post Office. Have you tried them?
  • In my experience, when the item says Express 48....it normally gets delivered within the next 2 days.
    If you get a customs charge, it normally says something like "held until charges/fees are paid".
