Car Park woes - CP Plus
Hi folks,
My local carpark recently changed from being council run to being managed by an outfit called CP Plus. As part of the change over, they installed a new system which uses ANPR rather than the cash on exit barrier system used before.
As part of this installation, CP Plus installed bright lights to capture the number plate details - however these shine directly into the face of the driver both on entry and exit. No other changes have been made to the car park aside from the ANPR installation.
On leaving last night, I was unable to see the kerbstone as a result of the dazzling light and clipped my wheel causing minor damage.
I have written to the company to suggest they adjust the lights and\or paint the kerbstones to avoid others suffering the same fate. They have indicated they will investigate. I have also requested they cover the cost of the wheel repair as I attribute this directly to their new lighting. They deny any liability as "no new road ways have been built or changed".
Does anyone think I'll have any chance of obtaining anything from them to cover the repair? (I haven't yet got a quote for this, but would expect it to cost around £80)
Any advice welcomed!

I think you have a good case. You need to gather some evidence and put in a moneyclaim online claim.0
