Afternoon all,
First time poster here.
I'm looking for some help connecting my tv to pc.
The tv is a Neo - 3775ND.
My pc graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce 7100 GS.
My questions are -
1) It is an older tv so not sure if this will be possible.
2) How do I connect?
Thanks for you help.

what sockets do you have on your TV to input to, what sockets do you have on your PC graphics card (too lazy to look up and it'll not tae you long to look
)
Main options are in older PCs / TVs you relied on it having a PC input and just output from a sVGA / DVI socket as though it were a normal monitor, these days a modern PC with DVI or HDMI is compatible with any TV with HDMI in.
you can spend money on workarounds but if you were thinking of upgrading either PC or TV in the near future anyway you should weigh up against the cost/benefits of the 'just upgrade to a modern graphics card / TV' option0 -
ok, being a bit less lazy according to this:

your TV has both HDMI and DVI in, and elsewhere on the net suggests your graphics card has DVI out so you probably want a DVI to DVI cable.... alternatively a DVI to HDMI cabe might provide more flexability in future....
-depends if you have anything else you might want to plug in at the same time0 -
fantastic, thanks for this mate.0

Thats right. DVI does not carry sound, you need to connect the laptops line out to the TV's line in.
BEWARE You cna connect the headphone socket by mistake and if the laptop and TV are set at a hign volume you could damage the TV speakers.0 -

yup, DVI cable is video only, yo uneed to get you sound out on a separate cable to a suitable sound output system.
one option is to google ofr a suitable length '3.5mm to 3.5mm' cable (basically has a headphone socket both ends, about £3), this can feed from your PC into either your TV if it has a suitable input or a sound system you might have.
if your PC and TV/sound system are capable you can get an optical digital cable (from £7-9, don't bend it or coil it tightly).
Finally you could get a decent-ish pair of speakers (£20+) and position them appropriately depending on whether you are using the PC or TV.0
