WTC renewal query?

I am self employed and I applied for WTC last year but didnt qualify as the year before i was working part time in addition and that with my partners earnings took me over the threshold, this previous year both our incomes have dropped ( i have made a loss on the business which is deducted from my partners earnings) so should qualify from this April. As my partner doesnt get payslips (long story!)I'm not sure of his actual earnings until he gets his P60 which will prob be May? Do I wait for my renewal form to come through or do I ring them and let them now I might qualify with a guesstimate?

You can ring them now if you want but if your guess is wrong there may be an overpayment.

Thanks for your reply..guess it maybebetter to wait til i get renewal pack through-have been told that could be anytime up to June tho-is that right?

Yeah renewal packs are issued between April and June because they send out so many at a time.

Thankyou-suppose i can phone them as soon as i get his p60...or do you have to wait for the renewal pack before u can claim?
