Charge for courtesy car

Can they do this? I have a new car, and there's a slight fault that needs sorting out, but when I book it in for repair under warranty they tell me that their policy has changed recently, and they now charge £15 'insurance excess' for a courtesy car! Is there anything I can do about this?

Thanks for the post, there's definately truth in what you're saying, as when I was arguing with them about it they reluctantly mentioned something about my own insurance company covering this if I want. Obviously they prefer to charge £15, so this information is not hastily given out!

Alas another garage not an option, it's a new car that needs the dealer to service it to keep it under warranty.
