Well, last week was not good for me. I came down with a horrible cold which left me lying in bed and the rest of the family making merry in the kitchen, ignoring meal plans. Still they did the washing up so not all was horrid!
It has left us with loads of extra veg as we get a veg box each week so this week has got to focus on using up and giving away. I have made carrot jam today which will have to be rebranded as Angel Hair Toast Topper or sommat similar and may become part of breakfasts or cake filler. This weeks meals are....
Sat - artichoke kedgeree with rosemary butter.
Sun- pizza and chips
Mon - pinto bean and cabbage stew with dinner rolls.
Tues - spicy vegetable couscous.
Weds - lenten bake
Thurs - courgette pancakes with brie and broccoli
Fri - bean and beer casserole with dumplings.
lunches - sarnies, wraps and leftovers.
puds - inspiration .......... go on - hit me!
breakfasts - porridge or eggs or summat."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."

I had to make wholewheat bread to accomodate my new eating plan. Which so far has been relitively easy because I know I can't have what I used to, so I am doing well with what I can have.We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like.
