Protection of purchases by AMEX

Hi there,
Am just about to buy some expensive flights on AMEX, but wanted to check if anyone knows whether AMEX purchases are protected in the same way that other credit card transactions are?

Are you referring to an AmEx Charge Card or an AmEx Credit Card? If it's a credit card you should have Section 75 protection. If it's a charge card, dunno.

If its an AMEX credit card then Section 75 protection applies

If its a charge card it doesn't

seems to hint that section 75 might not apply when buying flights through a travel agent, so it might be worth taking care.
