  • i was looking to find out if i were to apply for a trust deed and i was refused , if it would show up on my credit file that i had applied?
  • Hi, I entered a Trust Deed in 2007 - finished in 2010. Not sure I can be much help though!

Have you taken advice from CAB or CCCS yet to make sure a trust deed is right for you? Nothing should show up on your credit file for applying and being turned down. Once you enter the Trust Deed everything shows as D for defaulted on your credit file. Your name and address will be published in the Edinburgh Gazette under the Trust Deed notices though. I think an insolvency practicioner would be unlikely to allow you to proceed with a trust deed if they thought you would be turned down. Have you looked at the forums here? http://www.trust-deed.co.uk/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=1 I had some helpful advice from there.
