Hi my Potential builder and surveyor is suggesting I go through this company they will take care of building regs by ensuring consistency with the same inspector and obtaining certificate.
apparently it works out cheaper and much easier...

That firm is just one of several approved inspectors which you can use.
The danger is, if this inspector is in league with your builder, then he may be partial to passing certain works which a council inspector may not
I can't see how using this firm will be "easier", and it's not normally any or even much cheaper than the council charge0
