We’re looking for the ultimate British banger to help celebrate the Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year – and you could win £1000 of Asda vouchers if you come up with the best sausage suggestion.
You’ll also get the chance to see your sausage made and sold at Asda as part of our Chosen by you range … after it passes customer taste tests. And the winner will also receive £1500 of cooking equipment for their chosen school.
The best five ideas from this year’s competition will be turned into sausages and served up to our judging panel who will then pick an overall winner which will be launched into our Chosen by you range for next summer.
Last year’s Bangers and Cash winner, Sarah Fussey (pictured below), suggested a tasty Firecracker Roast Pumpkin sausage which made it into our Extra Special range for Halloween.

1. The competition promoter is Asda at Asda House, Great Wilson Street, Leeds, LS115AD (the “Promoter”). Please do not send entries to this address.
2. Entrants, eligible for the prize, must be over 18.
3. To enter entrants must visit the www.asda.com/yourasda the Promoters (“Website”) and submit an original flavour of sausage.
4. Entrants may submit multiple entries, each entry must include a different unusual flavour.
5. Any unsuitable or inappropriate content will not be considered eligible for entry and will be deleted without further notice to the entrant.
6. Entries not submitted in accordance with the rules, illegible, incomplete or inappropriate will be disqualified.
7. Timeline: a. The competition will open on 28th October 2011; b. Closing date for entries is 30th November 2011 at 12pm midnight; c. The winners will be informed shortly afterwards.
8. After the closing date the judges will select entries which are, in their opinion the most original. The promoter’s decision shall be final in all matters and no correspondence on this will be entered into.
9. By entering the free prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by the rules and any other requirements set out in the promotional materials.
