No Credit Card on Credit Report?

Options
Hi there,

I have a couple of issues!

I have checked my credit report on Credit Expert a couple of times over the last year and it does not have a couple of things on it. The FAQ suggests that this is no unusual as sometimes companies do not share information with Credit Expert.

It's not showing my Halifax credit card, with a £1250 credit limit and i usually have about £500 on it. I always meet the minimum payment, and most of the time pay off most of the balance each month.

In addition, it does not show my contract with 3 Mobile. This does come under linked addresses though. The only companies I have account info for are T-Mobile for a contract that was settled in 2008, and Santander (a River Island store card) which was settled in Feb 2010.

Does it matter that my credit card is not showing? Should I write to Halifax and 3 Mobile? Would other credit companies be able to see I have an existing account if it isn't shown here as they have their own checks?

Help Please!!
Much appreciated

You need to check your equifax credit report and your callcredit credit report to see whether they show on there. You cannot do anything to make them report a particular account to experian (credit expert).

Does it matter its not showing? well it depends on whether you are applying for new credit products or not.

If you mean would other credit companies see you have an existing account when you apply for an account with them only if its on one of the other agency reports and they check that credit agency.

  • I've checked my Equifax report as well and my credit card does not appear on there either.

I do want to apply for new credit so I guess it does matter. How can I get around this? Do i need to phone my credit card provider and ask for them to share the information?
