Microwave oven or oven?

When we moved into our house 6 years ago, we were told the built in oven worked fine, well it didn't, it was totally useless, so we went and bought a microwave with a built in combination oven, and with kids, life etc and trying to save money and spend less, we've just made do. The only problem now, is that the oven part of the microwave is not working very good, and we have the dilemma, do we get another, or pay more and get a new main oven? The thing is, neither of us know how to go about buying a new built in oven and hob, we dont want to have to redo our full kitchen and we want electric for both and at the moment its a gas hob, so how do we go about it? Any comments or ideas would be helpful, thanks.
