Hi,
I have a Zanussi ZDE26100W tumble dryer, that has stopped heating up. On using a multimeter we have pin pointed the problem part, but are unsure of what exact spare part to order.
This is a link to the heating element http://www.espares.co.uk/part/tumble-dryers/zanussi/zde26100w/p/1088/332/0/1009712/1331832/heating-element.html however the part that has broke is the left attachment with wires going in/out on top of the heating element.
Do we need to replace the whole heating element (expensive) or is it possible to just replace the attachment (cant find online).
I hope someone can help with this.
Thankyou.

That looks more like a dead thermostat to me (those two black cylindrical terminals would appear to be thermostats) - the symptom of no heat would point to that as well.
Edit: I'm struggling to find a replacement pair of thermostats for that particular model of tumble dryer from the usual spare parts retailers.0 -
Hi,
I thought it was a thermostat but the ones listed for my model dont look like the part I need at all.
I think i'll take the heating element to my local appliance repair shop tomorrow & see if they can find the part.
Thanks anyway.0 -
I guess you've found this:

but I agree it doesn't look the same.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0
