Hi all
Not sure if this is in the right place - apologies if not. My 51 plate Zafira has recently been in an accident and although I'm waiting for confirmation I believe it will be written off.
Not sure yet of the actual damage but does anyone have any advice regarding whether it's worth attempting to repair or scrap written off cars, if the insurance company will sell them back to you? I have no idea where to start or even if to bother at all!

Lots of people do, I suppose it depends on the extent of the damage really.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
You have to see what the damage is, when the repairer does a quote for the insurance it will be for roughly 3x the actual real life cost to repair... The insurance company then decide whether to declare it as a write-off.
If you know anyone who can do repairs, you can then buy the car back from the insurance company and use the remainder of the payout to get it repaired.... The cost of the repair will be as mentioned above approximately 1/3 of what the insurance company were quoted.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Depends if you can repair it safely yourself or someone you know who can do it for beer money.
Paying a garage to repair it will probably be too expensive. How badly damaged? Sometimes a scratch
can write a car off. Few hours work with a spray can and some cutting compound will have it looking
respectable,
Airbags gone off etc? The bills can mount up if sensors need replacing after firing.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
