Temp. Car Insurance Declined - what to do?

Hi MSE,

I have just tried to obtain a quote on various sites for temporary (from 1-28 days cover) car insurance and have been rejected, I have called the call centres to find out why but they are 'unable' to tell me why this is only that it is a decision from the 'undertakers'.

- Can someone tell me why I may have been rejected, or some examples of why people are? (I have a clean full UK license & DVLA history, owned for at least a year which is a requirement, am over 25)

- What else can I do to get temp. insurance? (as I need it ASAP)

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Elle

do you already have a car insured ? if so have you tried adding onto that policy as a TAV (temp additional vehicle). If you do not, you could add a TAV onto a familiy or friends policy if that company offers that benefit, Direct Line,Churchill,Pru & any other u/w by RBS & Churchill offer this.
