Paypal huge limitation! 35k!

Right long story short i am an online retailer on ebay amazon play ebid etc etc.

ebay was my first step, i had 2 accounts linked to 1 paypal account no issues.

my shop has been going 3 months and was doing a large amount of sales every day. Around £800-2000 a day 2000 being mainly in december. Anyways i work alone, listing emailing and packing all day long pretty much 7 days a week. I have 3 suppliers but 1 is my main supplier. I currently owe them £28,000 for december and jan purchases.

However this is where my problem starts, all my sales on ebay go through paypal!
i stupidly allowed my paypal account to reach £40,000 just before christmas. I emptied it around the start of december so i could pay suppliers leaving enough in there to pay fees of course.
i shut for christmas around the 18th. I knew there was a large sum of money in the account so i moved half out into my bank account just before christmas.
I waited for this to clear and then took/tried to take out £20,000 leaving around £4000 for fees and refunds etc.
I did not look at my company account until the 27th and i noticed the first amount had passed through but the other had not.
so i looked at my paypal account and i had been hit with a limitation!
They required business info:
supplier contact info
invoices
proof of address
proof of name so id/pass port.
proof of delivery.

i sent them all of the above. I got a letter headed page from my supplier with there name and number etc and signed.

i ran out of room uploading (if anyone has done this before they will know)
so i faxed the remainder of the invoices i could not attach and upload. i also faxed bank account info for the accounts linked to my paypal.
in total i faxed over 200 sheets and uploaded a fair few i faxed all i had uploaded aswell, i faxed pretty much every sheet i had.

i was then asked for more info from them which included a utility bill.
i sent them all they asked yet again + more but the utility bill i could not supply with my name as im only 20 and live at home, so it would have my dads name on, however same address and same last name.
i rang them to let them know and they said that this would be noted on the account so that the people reviewing would understand that. (all good)

well so i thought.
early jan i was hit with 180 day limitation!
this meant that i would be unable to withdraw any fund for 180 days. so my £25,000 was stuck!
I was straight on the phone to paypal only to be told that i could appeal the decision. Which i did.
This came back as a fail and the money was still held!
the extremely annoying thing was that paypal and ebay were still allowing me to sell, so sales were still happening and money was still flowing but i couldn't touch it.

I rang paypal again this time to be put through to limitations.
The guy i spoke to asked what the issue was. I explained he could obviously see on the screen in front of him what was going on.
I Explained i rang up previously to be told i could appeal.
He then said the appeal was done incorrectly!!!!!!

so he re did that for me, yet again though it failed!!!
The thing is they give you no reason at all why its on hold!

I would just like to explain that i am 100% a genuine limited company.
everything made i declare.
no dodgy dealing what so ever! The company is in my name. My address. ETC ETC

I supplied them with everything that they asked for!

yet still 180 days until i can touch my money.


This brings me to my situation.
i owe my main supplier just over £28,000
all the money i managed to get out of my paypal has gone into paying vat and other suppliers and some of what i owed this supplier.
i have a small amount left to keep my amazon going etc.
and to live of.

paypal are almost forcing me to go broke! even though the money is 100% mine.
(extremely frustrating)

i have been ringing paypal most days for the past few weeks only to be told the same things over and over.

however last week they suddenly decided to stop letting me even take money on my ebay so i had hundreds of people trying to buy but there money couldn't go through. my paypal accounts now at just over £33,000
im getting multiple complaints from potential buyers and NEG FEEDBACK!

there is nothing i can do about it other than remove all my listings but i appear to be to late doing this as i have received so many bad feedbacks etc due to not being able to pay that they have shut my shop!

it almost seems like they are trying to get rid of me!

i was paying nearly £3,000 a month in fees!!!

in the past week i have received 2 emails from paypal asking for more information the last being today.

i rang them to ask whats going on, they said its a fault and i am stuck for 180 days end off.

however the guy i spoke to today slipped up slightly. He asked if i had uploaded everything asked for, i responded with a no as i had run out of upload space to i had to fax documents, this gives me the impression that they never received my faxes!!!!
I explained my situation to the man and i still had no explanation from him!

i even took a guess that they were holding my money due to the idea of money laundering and explained this would be impossible as my ebay has been funded from day 1 just by what i make on sales. i did add a card with money in to my paypal and ebay account however it has never been used all fees were paid for by the money generated from sales!
so i am not trying to exchange bad money!
to this i was put on hold!
then he picked up and just told me nothing i can do end off!!!!

its so stupid!
i send them all they ask for, i get limited with no reason!!!!
i now have to wait till july before i see my money. And i have suppliers crawling down my neck at 20 years of age this is frightening!

i can hold my hand on my heart and even say that everything i have done is genuine! it makes no sense. it appears they just want rid of me and its not fair to go bankrupt at 20 years of age.
its like being jailed for a murder that you didn't commit!
i have given them all the proof still no removal of my limit!
i have lost my ebay shop because of it!

someone can hopefully help a little bit?
or maybe martin lewis can help and tell people who watch daybreak how stupid this is!!!! please

im sorry this is my first post but it seemed a good reason to post.

i cant give you any advice regarding paypal,
but having a internet business myself i understand how frustrating it can be when you cant get your money.
i use world pay and also have a phone number where people can pay me over the phone using their debit/credit cards as i was fed up with paypal messing around.

i do still use paypal but more people pay over the phone or by world pay now and their fees are lower and the money goes direct into my business bank account.

Unfortunately of course OP runs a lot of his business on ebay, so is required to offer paypal and it will be used by the vast majority of buyers.

OP, I'm not sure what to suggest but we do have some really big sellers like you on these boards and hopefully one will be able to suggestsomething.

Ive just had exactly the same ive sent them everything, bills, photo on drivers licence, as i was selling a diet, they want to see my qualifications as a health professional?? im mum of 3 colloecting money to take my disabled little lad away to Wales for a holiday... ive not got as much as you only £300 but its not fair, im sick of ringing them to be told it will be sorted in 24 to 72 hrs it never is, i will NEVER use paypal ever again, my business has gone on ebay too as people cant pay me! PAYPAL REALLY ARE VILE!

thanks for the replys its puzzling i just need the money i have already spoken to my supplier luckily he understands and is happy to wait. (we get on very well)

but its extreamly annoying none the less as its my money and as they are a real bank there using it!!!

I'd be tempted to write to paypal (recorded delivery) giving them 48 hours to release your money, otherwise you will be suing them for loss of earnings. And don't forget to point out the £3000 daily fees they're losing out on!

have you tried posting on the ebay forum, if you can still access your account? You will find large sellers there, particulary on the power sellers forum.

Just a lil update however i rang them again yesterday as i said.
but i got an email this morning telling me that my appeal had been denied...
i was told yesterday i couldn't appeal again! yet i get an email saying my appeal had been denied! total rubbish proves that you can appeal as many times as you like. Its just the man on the phone being a waste of air.

There must be some way round this as the huge outlets will be making significant amounts of money via selling and the paypal method...

I am intrigued though re your business, I won't ask what it is but kudos to you for working so hard to build it up on your own. Hope you can get this sorted and quickly, good luck.

thankyou guys i would happily pm you one of the ebay sites. as i dont want to publicly show it due to competitors etc.
with regards to you squee i went from doing that to now doing £15 a day to the odd few who are happy to pay outside of paypal, but luckily my amazon sales make up around the same amount, its justs that is all having to pay for everything now and the money isnt really making money anymore not untill i get ebay back

im posting everywhere, i will be doing this none stop for 180 days as i really have nothing else to do Hopefully i will get a response from paypal.
