FOS or Small Claims Court?

Hi, I am helping someone get the bank charges back, she has written and got details of all her charges, sent a letter off to her bank (lloyds) and got the usual first response. Basically, 'our charges are lawful - sod off' but it did state that she could take the matter up with the FOS.

Also I read this article....

http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/saving-and-banking/article.html?in_article_id=414468&in_page_id=7

which implied you could go to the FOS which would be quicker.

So my question is, should I tell her to go through the FOS rather than the small claims court? and if so what should we ask of Lloyds? should we ask for a 'final response' letter?

    Hi
If I was her, I would forget about going to the FOS, she should send another letter (letter before action) if she hasn't already, then after that go for the Court claim. I know Lloyds TSB will not settle unless you do take court action.
    Good luck!
