Married in the USA; divorcing in the UK

Does anybody know if its just a straight forward divorce here in the UK if married in the USA; or is there something else that needs to be done stateside in the County I got married in?

Also as its not legally registered here, I am assuming the marriage is still legal as such?

Many thanks,

I'm sure it's a legal marriage, as long as it was properly done in the US. For the rest I don't know about divorce. perhpas you could try emailing the court in which it took place.
