Just come back from my Tesco challenge. OMG, I did not consider just how difficult it is just to put one item in your trolley when its bogof or on another offer. It felt so wrong! I was at war with myself. lol.

I too am anxiously awaiting the safe arrival of a Tesco email and will share the happy news - hopefully.

My wombling powers have deserted me - a clean car park in Asda today!

I have just been to Mr T's and got a few things that should be cheaper in Asda so hopefully a good dtd. Got the tuna and pringles, really hurt not to get the 2 bogofs, and then not being able to use my clubcard, well, the pain.

Hope the dtd is worth it

  • absolutely awful treatment in Tesco's this afty...staff didn't have a clue what to do with the DTD voucher, thought my mum's voucher for £65 was worth £3.50...don't know where she got that from... lady from CS came over flapping around saying ''right come with me NOW you're holding everyone up'' (repeatedly) when we still had a separate lot of shopping to put through. Nightmare!!!!
After all that she didn't give my mum her receipt from her shop, they said it's gone to the safe and they can't get in that until the morning. That means another trip to Ts in the morning when I'm sure they'll have some excuse for why they can't find our receipt ( that's worth £65 with DTD)

ugh... hope you're all having much easier shopping experiences!!!

I hope you are going to write to head office and complain! If people don't complain, T's are never going to get better.

edit; and why on earth did they put the receipt in a safe?

It must have been awful for you. Hugs.

And NO you weren't holding people up, they were for being so out of touch with T's policies.
  • I am. I really can't believe they aren't training their staff at all... why should we have to take the time and effort to do it for them?!?!

Will write them an email/letter later. Do you think a letter would be taken more seriously?

For now I'm going to crack open a bottle of the Banrock wine they've kindly paid me 50p (i think) to drink... am sure it will taste all the better knowing its free :)
  • I don't know why the silly woman on CS said she sent the receipt to the safe as cash... maybe she wanted to have a look at it later so she can get a big voucher back too lol.
