well having spent all day yesterday on the sofa under my duvet i've just had a call that means i need to get my backside in gear - i've got a job .......... been out of work since end October so massive relief, bit worried about dogs as they're used to me being at home but looking forward to getting back into work again ............... gonna miss my comping and you guys though xI am not a beige person:D0 -
both my local asdas don't allow coupons on self serve any more
although for first time today APG vouchers scanned in tescoAt the beginning of using them mine used to scan in Asda. If you had a voucher worth £5 for example, but only bought 30p worth of products the voucher would scan and give you £4.70 change in cash:eek: if you used the self check out machines!!
I think they figured out their error and have since made it so the vouchers don't scan, so a member of staff has to authorise it, to stop people printing out free cash!0 -
Hi guys, I will catch up on everyone's posts when I get back, but wanted your wonderful expertise! I have just been to Tesco's to use some of my coupons and happened to find 2 Garner's pickled onions (jars that is!) for 2p...there was a yellow SEL with the 2p price. So, thought great, and got both. Went to the checkout and noticed my final bill was much higher than expected, so asked if the 2p had been taken into account, to which he said yes. So I then checked my receipt and I had been charged £2.49 each!! I went to CS desk and pointed this out; first the young guy went and checked, and came back with the yellow SEL, looking shocked...I asked about DTD and he said, he didn't know how to do that! Then the older SA woman came over and he told her, and she looked as if she couldn't believe they were 2p!! I asked again about DTD and she waffled on saying no, head office must have thought we had sold them all and put the price back up!!
I did get my money back but no DTD...should I have???

i had 12 items left on mine and most were avaialble in asda
agree with others needs looking into
not sure i'll bother againUnintended_Muse wrote: »I put in a receipt and only had 2 items compared, one of which was a loaf of bread that I bought RTC @ 8p, so hardly surprising that T's were cheaper! The only other item they compared were own brand value crisps, which are the same price at Asda. :mad:0 -
on a lighter note
was planning to shop today in T's with last £5 off £30 co-op voucher and before i left this morning posty delivered a co-op letter with 4x £2 off £10 vouchers
so got a £44 shop with vouchers/offers down to £27:j
tried wombling asda receipts but the car park gets cleaner and cleaner each time i go up

I just got mine from Morrisons - they are 2 for £3 but SA would only take 1 voucher as she said it would be paying me (yeah, that's the idea) - still not bad though for 50p each.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift - the present.0 -

Surprise, surprise,:mad: both my old receipts came back with Tesco being cheaper!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:
They are certainly not playing fair when comparing prices..... my (cheapest value) corned beef for £1.19 was compared with Princes corned beef for £2.48 in Asda when Asda have their own value corned beef for £1.19. Which I buy regularly when I shop there.
It only takes a couple of overinflated comparisons to wipe out any small gains and of course there are still loads of items stocked by both stores that come up N/A which is b****cks as I buy them every week from whichever store I happen to be in. Coincidentally most of these items are always cheaper in Asda.
So looks like they are making up the rules to suit themselves :eek::eek:
Hopefully Martin or Watchdog will look more closely at this so called promotion.
In the meantime, I will only bother with Tescos if I have lots of conditional spends to use
Yes I agree. I posted yesterday that on my Tesco receipt it had used The Sun newspaper as a comparable. That's the same price everywhere regardless, they also used their own bakery item against Asda. Definately not fair and unless it is fine-tuned they are going to constantly move the goalposts so no one ever gets a fair comparison. Unless another voucher like the vitamin water crops up which gives a nice tasty profit I will only be going in with my second batch Asda price guarantees.
Haven't won any vouchers on the muller comp - just cow computer game rubbish and must have clicked on the greggs site continuously for half an hour and won nada :-)Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x
