Flybe Flight price differences

This is a general warning/advice to people to check the price difference between returns and one way flights with Flybe when booking.
For example,
A flight from Southampton to Belfast on sunday the 20th March is £71.99,
However booking it as part of a return journey returning on 21st March, the same flight is £85.40
I find this very strange as usually its the other way round and the flight is more expensive if booked as a one one way flight - but usually only by £2 or so
Just make sure to check this if booking with flybe!

No the one leg of the return is more expensive than the one way flight by £15

I see the problem yes. Oneway only and its £71.99. If its part of a return flight, then that outbound leg is valued at £85.40
The normal pricing for Flybe is the other way round : if part of a return journey, then it is usually about £13.40 cheaper than booking it one way. It seems the journey has the deduction of £13.40 the wrong way round.0 -
This has come up before with SOU-BFS and one reason although its not written in stone is because you pay the airport charge (UB) departing SOU and arriving BFS.
If you book BFS-SOU it would normally incur no UB charge.0 -
Actually that's quite normal in the airline world. The difference will be that the single ticket will have less restrictions on it whereas the return ticket will be for specific flights with no refunds. No the one leg of the return is more expensive than the one way flight by £15
The opposite of normal0 -
the fare rules on flybe.com arent displayed
so therefore i believe the rules for a single and return are the same0 -

But in this case the single is cheaper than the same journey as part of a return ticket.0
