Is there a virus or malware scanner that will scan my email (Hotmail) or what else can i do I have changed the P/W for my email but not sure if its enough. Can someone offer me some help please.

Have you run a full manual scan using your existing AV program?
What is it? No, don't tell me-AVG or McAfee? No free lunch, and no free laptop

The Hotmail problems are usually down to compromised passwords, so if you have changed yours, you are on the right track.
You also need to make sure that your PC has nothing nasty, so:
download MalwareBytes and install/update/scan/fix what it finds, and then post the log here.
Depending on what it finds, you may have to change your password again once it's clean.0 -
