Appealing an Aqua decline

Also keep in mind that if Aqua do approve you this will actually reduce your level of credit worthiness for a while -
A new account is seen as a negative. You are demonstrating a certain amount of indecisiveness in regard to what account(s) you want plus any time you do apply the creditor will need to be comfortable that you've handled your existing commitments well. Less than 6-9 months history on your youngest account won't demonstrate that - as there won't be enough history on the account to say whether you're OK with it.
Just remember - stability and ability to maintain the status quo are key in credit scoring.
Not worth appealing then as they're going to knock me back anyway? Its what I asked originally...

That's not the point.
If your goal is to improve your credit score then it's not worth applying or appealing as taking out a new account will REDUCE your credit worthiness for 6-12 months.
If your goal is to get the card, and don't mind the temporary effect it will have on your credit worthiness then it IS worth appealing.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
