Swinton Insurance Cashback Glitch

Recently purchased home insurance from Swinton via quidco with the £30 cashback offer!! Quidco paid me the cashback last week and then received a cheque from swinton for £30 too! So maybe a glitch to take advantage of!!

Not a glitch, swinton offer cash back themselves additional to quidco

I got 75 quid for my insurance. You usually have to have the insurance for 3 months and make payments on time to receive it for car insurance

if you go on their website they are usually offering different amounts for each insurance they offer

  • Yes, that's right, per dtaylor21184. I've used them a couple of times and found everything worked well. Swinton are a broker, so you are referred to your nearest branch and the actual insurance is via an insurance company, but you don't have to do anything with them except on the phone if you have any queries or claims.

I found them to be lovely and it all worked well. I may have had to remind them about the cashback once (I truly cannot remember precisely), so just keep a note to ensure that you do get the cashback. I would definitely recommend them, though, if they are the cheapest with the cashbacks. (Sheila's Wheels have been cheapest for me for car and house insurance over the last couple of years).

Wish they'd offer me that, They'd be paying me £100 to take their insurance then :D
  • I have been with Swinton for 3 years. Last year some idiot went into me while I was stationary and Swinton were terrible. The local office did nothing to help and I had to deal with all of the phone calls about it. The other persons insurance were great and admitted liability within 30 minutes of the accident and couldnt do enough to help. My insurance company didnt pay a penny for the repairs however my policy is due for renewal in the next couple of weeks and my premium has gone from £480 to £792 and they tried to tell me that all insurances have gone up. 4 phone calls later Swinton decided to reduce it to £588 Ran my details through Go Compared on so on and have managed to get exactly the same cover but with home breakdown cover for £506. Called them this afternoon to tell them not to automatically renew the policy and that I was leaving them and they asked what price I was given and by whom. When I told her the deal I got she said laughed and said I wont even try to beat it. :rotfl:
  • Swinton also give you £20 for referring a friend (even after the friend has taken out the insurance), only stipulation is that they pay it when the friend has had the policy for 3 months ;)

I did it a couple of times last year, after finding out 2 colleagues had started their policies with Swinton I phoned them up, gave my friends surname and received a cheque for each :j
