Skype

Hi there, Can anyone offer an answer to my skype problem please ? I ve just downloaded the latest version to my netbook acer aspire one but when i try to have a visual call and type, only one or the other works. I can either see the person and myself but not be able to click onto the type button as it stays orange and doesn t work  or i can end the call but type as much as i like but no views. It keeps saying slow connection but it works fine on other pc s in the house. I dont have any other programmes running as far as i know. Also ctrl alt and del doesn t bring up the task master ( it just doesn t do anything ) for me to see whats running. Any suggestions please.

The "slow connection" usually means that your netbook processor is not fast enough to cope with 2 video streams and the type, your other PCs have meatier processors.

Thanks for replying however skype worked perfectly well on my old acer aspire which was worse than this new one. Ive also read on here about Rapport slowing doen laptops could it be that do you think ?

Could be, but I do not use Rapport so cannot give a firm answer.
