am taking my two boys (3 1/2 and 18 months) to visit their nana for a couple of days and would appreciate help/suggestions on a something for the little one to sleep on.
biggest can sleep in the bed but littleist is still a 'wanderer' in his cot at home so can't trust him in a proper bed. he's too long for a travel cot (tried one) so any suggestions (short of putting him on the floor!)
thanks in advance

Mothercare sell bed-rails, which means you can put him in a "proper" bed without him rolling out. E.g.:

@pink - magic! that would appear to be just the thing.
@only - he's the kind of boy that i'd have to have rails on all 4 sides! he quite literally stands up, turns round and falls back down, while still asleep so it's not for if he rolls out. it's bizarre!
thanks to both for your suggestions.RATFINK DAISIES!!!!0 -
My 19 month old slept in one of those ready beds from Argos (link above) last weekend for the first time when staying with family and loved it. Not far to fall if he manages to shuffle or roll out either.
Actually, he was still a bit of a wanderer in his cot, but we wanted to move him to a toddler bed before new baby arrives, and after assembling it in his room when he was 18 months so he could get used to it, he insisted on sleeping there that night, and amazingly stays in the right position for sleeping in a bed, something he never did in the cot.
He might surprise you by not moving so much in his sleep in a bed, like mine did.0 -
I have a ready bed for my LO and it's fab for occasional nights away. If you wanted to be very MSE you could use a lilo left over from holidays ! :-)0

Can I just say, please if there are stairs make sure he can't get to them in the night.0
