Santander renumbering?

I have an old Bradford & Bingley e-ISA - taken over by Santander, of course - which I'm about to transfer now that I've let them know of my change of address.
The original B&B account reference started with 21S.....
When Santander wrote to confirm the change of address, they used the prefix 96M..... for the account.
The rest of the account reference remains the same.
Am I right in thinking that this is a simple re-numbering, and therefore that on the ISA transfer form which I'm about to complete, I should use the new reference?
Thanks

Hi,
Simple answer is yes use the new number, they have renumbered all B&B, Abbey and Alliance & Leicester accounts, but they can still find you under the old number.Life is not all about money - we just believe so :hello:0
