Composite Doors Question

Hi
I am looking at getting a composite door - is there only one company who manufacture composite doors http://www.door-stop.co.uk/ or are there any others - rockdoor?. I went on the Yale door site and it looks the same style doors available as the ones on door-stop.co.uk
If so who makes the best quality doors?

The styles all tend to be generic types as you have noticed. This site purports to be some kind of trade body and has a lot of info.

I recogise the names of most of the companies named in the member list but then again I work for a building services company. Its really hard to recommend one supplier over another as they are all of a high standard otherwise they wouldn't still be in business.
One thing to note though is to be aware of colour fade in some outer skin colour (red). The big players have largely solved this problem but I'm not sure of the minor players
They will usually be sold to the end user as a "complete doorset" i.e. glazed, letter plates, locking mechanism, door viewer, handles, weather bars, threshold, seals & gaskets and cill etc. There a numerous suppliers of such complete products. As usual avoid the big national players etc.
Hope that helps.

I had a composite door installed recently and I am very impressed with it. The colour is Rosewood and it really is the next best thing to a real hardwood door (which I would have had except for the drawbacks). Apparently the grain effect is applied by hand. The door furniture is excellent quality and I love my glazed panels which they customised slightly for me. The door came from Hallmark Panels (in Hull) and was supplied by my builder.

We got a Rehau composite door, outside colour red, inside white. Much better than the wooden boot that we had before with single glazing and swelling out in every rain!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
