In a long road, If you have just a postcode,
can you find How many houses there are allocated to a postcode,
or are there many postcodes to one road?
and can you find out how many houses there are, using any website? what website shows this? by entering the postcode?
and how many addresses are allocated to one postcode, usually?

Royal Mail address finder

Put in the postcode you are interested in and it will list the addresses which have that postcode.0 -
Post Office have Address Finder and Postcode Finder. Between the two, you should get some answers.

There is unlikely to be a single answer, to cover all the UK, due to the disparity between the wilds of the Scottish Highlands/Welsh mountains, versus tight City streets.Act in haste, repent at leisure.

"The final part of the postcode is the unit code which is always two letters. This identifies a group
of up to 80 addresses and tells the delivery office which postal route (or walk) will deliver the item."
Looks like 80 is the maximum...though some bright spark will no doubt come up with an exception...Act in haste, repent at leisure.

Bright spark here reporting for duty. There are over 200 properties on my street. The odd numbers have one post-code and the even ones another.0 -

On a similar topic, how common is it for houses with the same number in different streets to share a postcode?
I used to live in such a place. It was a cul-de-sac of 6 houses that came off a small street of about 25 or 26 houses. The same postcode covered the street and the cul-de-sac. Had terrible trouble with one electricity company whose computer systems assumed a house number would be unique to a postcode.
This cul-de-sac is the only example I know of.0 -
I was once told that the average post code covers 15 dwellings. However, this obviously ranges from farms, that often have one all to themselves, to densely-populated high-rises with quite a few.0
