30 days Consultation Period? How long?

I did post previously regarding my situation but can't find my last thread?! But probably best to start a new one anyway.
It was invited to a meeting on the 12th January where it was announced that myself and my colleagues would enter a 30 day Consultation period. We were told by email last week that this had now come to an end. The actual email said something along the lines of any further meetings had to be arranged by this deadline as otherwise it would be assumed that everyone had said their bit. We've all been interviewed now but this seems a bit quick to me? Is it 30 calendar days or 30 working days for Consultation and can my boss decide to close negotiations when he sees fit like this?
Cheers for any advice guys!

He had not closed negotiations he was making an offer for you to raise futher consultation issues if you don't then consultation is over.
Is anyone in on going discutions that have not been concluded?
For 19 people there is no 30 min requirement just a requirement to be meaningfull.
So they have tried to get you to raise any issues if you failed then you have effectivly concluded the consultation period.
what issues suggestions have the 19 staff raised to try reduce the impact or eliminate redundancies
Negotiations should continue through any notice periods and attempts made to find alternative positions.0 -
You should read the 3rd bullet point down in this guide: http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/+/http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/employment/employment-legislation/employment-guidance/page13852.html#What_does_the_consultation_process0
