  • another idea if you are struggling for lables is to use ribbons. http://www.pawzandribbon.co.uk/personalised-ribbon-wine-wraps-long-tails.html they are really good i used them for xmas gifts there are loads of coloured ribbons and lettering. and any wording. plus thank you or thankyou is 10% off code!

    There are a few difficulties with doing it yourself.

    Putting labels on top of existing labels doesn't look good, the label sticks out to far from the bottle.
    Removing the label can be hard work and take a long time, modern glues are too good.

    I've just had a go at this, as we intend to do our own wine labels too. I'm currently sampling possible reception drinks and am on a sparkling rose. I agree that removing the label can be hard work, but I've just used a stainless steel scrubber to buff away at the gluey label and any gluey residue has come off with Betterware Sticky Stuff Remover! Bingo! Job done and bottle now chilling to sample in a bit!

    Its a photo site but Ive heard loads of people on crafting threads talking about the site. I think you can design your own labels and stuff and print them out.

    Different tack, but we had personalised miniatures of whisky and vodka for favours at our wedding, ordered them ready made and that was reasonably priced.
