  • Are you looking for a personal recommendation or just where to start looking? I've just googled 'personalised wine labels' and there are loads of companies who do it. Haven't had the need to use them myself though.

Could you print your own and stick them over the original labels?

If you go on the printing websites like vistaprint you can design and personalise your own stickers for a very reasonable price.

    Hi

I was hoping to get some personalised labels that I could put on wine/champagne (well sparkling wine) as a way of asking my favourite ladies to be my bridesmaids.

has anyone done anything similar or can recommend any sites that could help with this?

I guess it would be a case of designing something of my own to stick on a bottle.

    Anythoughts welcome.

    Thanks
  • There are a few difficulties with doing it yourself.

Putting labels on top of existing labels doesn't look good, the label sticks out to far from the bottle.
Removing the label can be hard work and take a long time, modern glues are too good.

It is easier buying bottles with the labels already on.
Take a look at Euromarque Wines (declaration of interest: a friend of mine works there). They do wedding work with labels matching the stationary and also pictures of the couple on the bottle.
  • I hear what you say about sticking labels ontop of labels not looking great...why not just make your own personalised card/paper 'jackets' and stick them on, can't be too hard to make strips of paper

Nice idea but the cheapest bottle is £5.75 (if you order more than 42 bottles) and then there is the design charge, the label set up charge, the VAT and then a charge for credit card use. Makes it all a bit too expensive unless you want huge commerical quantities.

My guess is you can soak a wine bottle label off in a bucket of water overnight...modern glues may be good but they arn't that good!
