HomeBase will not accept credit card

Hi bought a kitchen from home base, on a 9months buy now pay later, payment for a new kitchen, which is due for payment on feb 23, contacted them to make a credit card payment in full, but they told me they only accepted debit card or cheque, can they do that??

They have given you 9 months interest free credit -so now you want them to swallow the credit card charges so you can extend your cheap credit ?? Not in their interests!
  • they can do this yes, they will accrue charges on a credit card payment of sizeable means - doesn't make sense to them to do so.
  • Yes. It makes sense as well.

You can't pay a credit card with a credit card. HomeBase use the 'edge' style system iirc so on paper its probably dubbed as a store card.
