HomeBase will not accept credit card

Hi bought a kitchen from home base, on a 9months buy now pay later, payment for a new kitchen, which is due for payment on feb 23, contacted them to make a credit card payment in full, but they told me they only accepted debit card or cheque, can they do that??

Yes - any retailer can accept or refuse any form of payment.0

They have given you 9 months interest free credit -so now you want them to swallow the credit card charges so you can extend your cheap credit ?? Not in their interests!0

they can do this yes, they will accrue charges on a credit card payment of sizeable means - doesn't make sense to them to do so.0

Yes. It makes sense as well.
You can't pay a credit card with a credit card. HomeBase use the 'edge' style system iirc so on paper its probably dubbed as a store card.0
