There is an offer at the moment for dog booster vaccinations - 10.00 per dog plus a free healthcheck. Not sure if they are a nationwide vet practice

I asked about this when I took my dog for a vaccination today (see my thread -missed yearly booster) as our local Vets4pets is where I take my dogs. Another of my dogs is due his booster in February so I thought £10 would be a bargain. The receptionist said that the offers come from head office and go to select practices. The boosters at our practice- Stockton-on-Tees is still £26odd. But thanks for the heads up cos it was worth asking.0 -
I paid £100 for each of my dogs to be covered for life for vaccinations at vets for pets. this is nationwide.0

Yes this is what I took out today for Lexi, and one of my other dogs is covered on one as well. Its a good offer but you have to be doubly sure not to miss any boosters cos you have to pay again.....says me who has just missed one!!!! I wont be making that mistake again now!!!!! lol0 -
I use vets4pets and they are absolutely fantastic. They work out overall much cheaper, not just these offers they do. Last year my cat suffered an eye injury and was back and forth twice a week for five weeks, had antibiotic tablets and drops, calming tablets, painkiller tablets and two other kinds of end drops. And had an allergic reaction to flea treatment drops at the same time. Total cost? Less than £75. They dont charge for follow up appointments and have even said they want to see him once a year to check for glaucoma in that eye free of charge. I would recommend them to anyone.Mummy to

I've just registered my dogs at vets4pets. Only had a booster done so far but no complaints. My dog was off colour after the booster and I rang them. He was fine next day but they kept ringing me for two more days to check he was ok.0

It is their standard policy. That was the first time I used them, and I had my kitten neutered with them earlier in the year and they offered him a free follow up appointment as well, which I declined as I didnt need it, he healed fine as they usually do. After my other cat had the allergic reaction to his spot on she also gave me two free samples of other brands and strengths to try him on!I can't believe that is a standard policy at Vets4Pets, it would be a great way to go out of business if it was widespread. I can only guess you are a good customer and they were kind to you
Its obvious that they buy their drugs in bulk so they can pass on the savings to their customers, which they can do because they are a chain. It also goes to show how inflated prices can be at other vet practises. True enough, the practise I use has only been there a year or so and is probably trying to build a good rapport and clientele, but the amount of money I saved by choosing them for my cats eye treatment was more than enough to keep my business. Money talks! Its about time vet care was available at a more reasonable cost to a wider market, not just those that are eligible for PDSA care.Mummy to
