Guaranteed Uni Place?

Hi
Been looking at some university information for my son and am intrigued by the offering of Kaplan Business School. They are not part of UCAS and so my son can apply to study with them outside of Uni and get a guaranteed place if he gets his grades. The degree at the end is University of London too so looks pretty good. Anyone got any experience of using them as the degree looks good? Or any of the other private degree providers? It's quite pricy but i am concerned about my son securing a place...
Their info is here - thoughts would be greatly appreciated:

It looks like the big difference ( at first glance) is the need to provide a deposit.0

my concern would be that they're very new - they only announced that they would be offering courses last year (as far as i can tell). i wouldn't recommend being the guinea pig year! they don't seem to have a very good reputation in the US for the quality of the degrees that they provide too. this might be a back up plan, but it probably isn't a great plan A.:happyhear0

What would you see as the advantage of KBS over a normal university? You do realise that you would have to fund the whole thing without loans or grants?0

Also, "guaranteed place if he gets the grades" is really no different to any other University in the end.0

agreed as a current a-level student or equivallent all his university offers would be conditional upon meeting the grade requirements anyway - its only in rare cases or for mature students that offers are unconditionalMFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11
