increased child tax credit due to increased child care - problem

Hello
Basically I was getting £20 a week child tax credits for first child. We then put our child into nursery care and I phoned up and told them we would be paying £90 a week for childcare costs. We never recieved any paperwork confirmation of this, but we started recieving increased payments of an extra £19.
The problem is some weeks he is not going into nursery for the required amount of time e.g £90 or mores worth.
When registering the nursery with them I had to give them the nursery details etc,
Will they know that he some weeks is not going in for the required time and costs and therefore adjust my payments down,? (which they have not done yet...) Will they get in touch for money which is owed back to them., There has been 4 weeks like this?
Any help.

No, with tax credits everything is manual which is why there are so many problems with overpayments. Tell them now!0
