Has Oyster changed their peak/offpeak cap?

So if u take a bus ride before 9.30am and then start using the tube/train off peak, y r u charged a peak fare for the rest of the day until u reach the cap??

I asked @ a station why i was in a minus and was told the bus journeys were made b4 9.30am so im peak for the rest of the day... but theres no off peak bus fare... just 1.30 a journey?!

Is this a new rule of TFL's rip off 2011 fares?

that just proves what i thought... u pay each fare until 9.30 and then switch to off peak pricing. but tube office told me its peak for the whole day even if u only take 1 bus b4 9.30 as 'thats how it works'.
