Strange. Men need body hair. It's sexy. Woman not so. The opposite. My underarms are waxed, but i still need to use deoderant. I still sweat.

I didnt think about waxing. How often does it need to be done?

My husband uses the Gillette Arctic Ice deodorant gel roll on (£1.89 from Bodycare) and it lasts months. Rather than stop wearing deodorant and shaving under your arms, why not downgrade to something like this? It must cost us less than £10 a year on deodorant and to be honest, haggle, it's not something you want to skimp on when you are dating ;)

Every six weeks and it's both painful and expensive!

I'm sorry, but if I met a man who shaved his armpits I would be repulsed and run a mile. Eurgh.

Honestly, keep at it with the deodorant. There are some areas where you shouldn't make cuts! Try a cheaper brand as has been suggested.

I used to use Sure, but then found that after a month or so, even when there was plenty in the aerosol, it wasn't effective. I bought a cheap Vaseline roll on, on special offer, and so far so good. Way better.
  • From a girl: I can't really say it's sexy, but it's clean so I guess I prefer it to unshaven. :)
But... Like some other posters, I fail to see how it would save money. Surely, you would need deodorant anyway? Dropping a brand seems like a good suggestion to me :)

  • Women shave their armpits and still need deodorant.

Shaving your armpits will still cost you, unless you don't like using a razor (it will wear out the one for your face very quickly, use a separate one) or shaving cream...

OK it looks like I need to downgrade from boss to Tesco's brand.

I'm not sure why I'm so interested in the saving of arm pits.

I think its because of an experience I had at 19. All I can say on this forum is a girl had a bit of a thing for under arms.

I don't think it would be a big deal to me if my OH had no underarm hair but it wouldn't be a turn on put it that way, I know it's a daft stereotype but men should be a bit hairy and rough round the edges! It would look well strange when it started getting stubbly too...I vote no.

As an alternative (purely in the interests of money saving of course...) perhaps you could offer to entertain your mates by having your legs waxed in return for cash?! Entertaining for them, money making for you and you get to experience the pains we ladies have to endure in the pursuit of smoothness! :p
