Divorce info?

Im really not sure how to word this ? I was in the final stages of a divorce , applied for by my husband. The Nisi had been done and i was waiting for the Absolute. Then my husbands solicitor wrote to mine and said my husband was not replying to any letters he sent him and had not paid his bill , therefore he was closing the case (so to speak). My solicitor said because it has gone so far that i could carry on regardless myself and apply for the Absolute and get the divorce. What i would like to know is , would my husband ever find out the divorce had gone through ? I have not seen or spoken to him in over 5 years , so i cant tell him. How would he find out ?

Sorry deleted my reply as it explained how to get a decree absolute which isn't what you asked.0

If you want the Absolute then apply for it and be a free woman. Why worry if your ex knows or not - that will be for him to find out I would expect. The court will inform his solicitor I would expect, but if he has not paid his bill then the solicitor may not forward the details.0
