tax credits income change

hi all..
i today called the tax credit helpline to change our income estimated for 2010-2011.
our income was based from last april to this on 8500 pounds and i changed that to 11500 pounds as her wages went up.
so about a 3k change,am i right in thinking we wont be overpaid as we have told them before april and they will base our payments on the new amount until we renew after april?.

also does anyone have an idea how much tax credits we will get next year based on an income of 11500 pounds with 3 children with the new rates?
also lol does anyone know how long it takes to recieve the new award paperwork and will our payments change from now until april as we have made this change,i know last year we made a change and we got a one off payment but i cant remember how long it took for new payments and paperwork to arrive.

thanks all:T

I phoned up a week ago to tell of a change of job and a small increase in wage. I received the paper work today and the award has gone down slightly so I won't have an overpayment for this year. On the paper work they give you an estimate of what you will receive next year.

They work your award by the new amount you have given then take off what you have already been paid and spread what you may be entitled to over the rest of the financil year.
