Advice on Kodak Printers

We are interested in buying a kodak printer as the adverts say that the printing ink is very good value.
We only print e-mails and stuff but we do like to print anything it seems. We don't do a lot of printing of phots but we may start, I'm not sure.
We currently use a Dell Printer 810 which we are getting rid of as the cartridges are £30 or more a time.
I would like to know about peoples experiences of the kodak printers and any other views to see if they are a good purchase.
Many Thanks.

I've never used one but... I did notice that Which? magazine do regular tests on a range of inkjet printers, and the last one I looked at was very complimentary about Kodak's range.
If you want to look at the reviews, your local library should have Which? mags available to view for free (or for £1 you can get a one month trial of their online service directly).0 -
The print cartridges sit in a print head which apparently on most printers is technically part of the cartridge itself. This print head which normally costs £25 required changing just before the years guarantee so we were lucky, but the replacement itself lasted a similar 11 months.
Its a nice enough printer but maybe needs a £25 add on to ink costs per year. It is the kodak easyshare 5300.0
