hairdressing courses?

Inspired by celebrity scissorhands I would really like to learn some hairdressing skills - not to be a professional hairdresser but to be able to cut and style friends and family hair...if they let me! However, all the courses seem to be for schoolleavers wanting to go into it for a career and I want something part-time and more casual, particuarly as I am 30 and so a bit older than all the kids that will be on the regular courses. Does anyone know of any courses that might suit me? Thanks for any help!

  • depends on where you are, best bet is to go to your local FE college and enquire there. I know someone that is studying hairdressing and she is late 20's with 2 kids
Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.
