EDF Price Rise

I have just came off the phone to EDF giving them my monthly meter reads. I got talking to the advisor about this price hike and he just read me an internal email about what tariffs are affected with this hike.

I can confirm Online Saver 7 & 8 will Not be affected by this price rise :D

Im actually quite chuffed.

  • Knowing what I know of EDF recently I wouldn't even trust the email to be correct, lol. But thanks for the info, Gerrard_8_lfc!

I'm on Online Saver 6, so I'm going to assume that I will be affected? Must dig my paperwork out to read the terms and conditions! I'm not even going to attempt to call them and ask!

  • I recall eon did a similar thing a couple of years ago...didn't increase their online plan...until a couple of months later. I doubt they'll hold off indefinitely, probably a delay. Hopefully, they won't though! :D
  • I predict 1/4/11 for the 7&8 increase. Given my experience of EDF so far, I think the date would be perfectly fitting.....
  • Well I had a phone call today about an email I sent regarding incorrect dierect debit ammount being taken, and I think he said he was customer services director, and he confirmed to me that yes technically online 7 was staying the same, 2% less than the standard rate, but as the standard rate is changing online 7 will be, but only because the standard rate was increasing.

Anyway, either way, give them meter readings in March so they have the correct reading when the standard prices go up.

Then that's a price increase in anything other than EDF-speak...

Shows them to be the Erroneous Deceitful Fraudsters they really are.

He even said to me it wasn't necessary to provide a reading in March as they would estimate my reading when the price went up...

I may have been stupid enough to sign up to EDF :o

But not providing a meter reading when the standard tarif increases, that is like giving them the pin number to your cashpoint card and posting the card to them :rotfl:
