I have the same prob Pixey I wanted one for my Mum she will be 70 this year on 5th December, thought I could slip it to her without seeming patronising!

I seem to have upset a few people with this one, it was never my intention for anyone to abuse this one. Just wanted to help MSE's to help the elderly keep warm.

I think they are more concerned than anything. I'm sure that this post have been helpful for many.
I gave the phone number to my MIL who managed to get through in the end. She is hoping to get a few for the elderly she is caring for.

dont feel bad, people were just worried the offer would be abused.

These information pack including the thermometers will also be available via The Help The Aged charity shops. They are not on display but if you ask the manager they will give you one but we have been told only to give them to people who fit the criteria i.e Elderly and vulnerable.
They are due to be delivered to our shops at any time.
If anyone has a problem getting one of them and they require one or they know someone who needs if you p.m me i will get one sent to you as i have a good supply in my shop.
