Rewiring a room with laminate flooring

The lounge in the house that i'm looking to buy is mostly decorated quite well and has laminate flooring. However, the wiring in it is quite old and it lacks sufficient power points. The fuse board is also on the ground floor in the understairs cupboard.
Would wiring in several new 13A double-sockets (and light switches) mean destroying the laminate flooring?

They can both be done from above, but it will mean chasing down the walls. They may be able to be done from under the floor is there is a access under the floor from an adjoining room.0

maybe, maybe not.
theres more than one way of routing cables into/onto house walls.
do you have suspended floors?Get some gorm.0 -
Ormus has a very valid question. If its a concrete floor it has to be done above floor level in any event. If its a suspended floor - lift the laminate flooring, do the electrial work, put the laminate flooring back down again. Simples.

It's probably a suspended floor. I haven't checked yet as I haven't moved into the property. But thanks for the advice.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0

Most laminate flooring is just clip together so it can be removed and refitted. However, you would have to remove it from one side and work across. It would not be possible to remove odd sections.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
