Nationwide website unavailable 7/2/11

The story say that it's still possible to get on to online banking but at the moment (13:15) that is unavailable too.

    Yes, online banking is now working again although the main website is still not available (apart from providing a link to the online banking page).

    I had problems earlier than 11:15 (the reported time in the BBC news item) but can get on now.

    One useful feature that the Nationwide did away with a while ago was a traffic light system - showing website service availability. This was a really good indicator as to whether it was worth hanging around and retrying to get logged in.

    Another useful customer service that has been abandoned by the society.
