Sold tesco vouchers on Ebay two months on and buyer wants them converted.

Hi I sold £18.50 worth of clubcard vouchers on Ebay in September.
This evening i got this email from the buyer
"Hi/ Tesco has tightened up on things. Rather than me risk a problem with them are you willing to convert to deals for me? I can send the codes to you by email. I am after MFI deals and I know they will come with your name on them but this is not a problem. The local store is happy to accept.
Sorry for the hassle."
I am a cynic so am questioning why he has taken two months to ask me this. I offered to convert them and he declined.
What shall I do?

seems reasonable enough, on the basis that I have about £800 worth and can't decide what to spend them on, I keep changing my mind, maybe they have done the same. Now my kitchen tap has broken, I am considering MFI.
What harm can it do, any more advice on this from others?Like my avatar, took the photo myself with the free digital camera I bought from boots with all my free points! I love moneysaving.0 -
Maybe he's only just decided what to spend them on. Maybe he wasn't aware of the new tesco policies. Sounds like he's done his research now.:wall:0

Frankly, if you won't convert you're no better than the scammers. It's not hard to convert them to (anonymous) days-out vouchers (all online) and I expect the buyer can do this, but the vouchers will only be sent to the clubcard holders address. Tesco vouchers only sell for what they do because they can be converted to deals but only by who they were issued to.0

For the record I didn't say I wouldn't convert them did I?matto wrote:Frankly, if you won't convert you're no better than the scammers.
I asked for some advice as I was unsure if he was trying to scam me so I would appreciate it if you keep you judgemental, obnoxious opinions to yourself.Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

My advice would be to convert them as some people might think that people selling Tesco vouchers and not converting them are no better than scammers.0 -

Personally I'd do it out of good will. I converted some in the summer and it only takes a couple of minutes online. Ask the buyer to send you an SAE so you can send the vouchers on once you've got them.

I think I would do it to be honest but if there was any problems at his local store then it would be his problem - you would already have gone beyond your duty.Weight Loss - 102lb0
