Basically speak to the University you want to go to, there is a form they complete - I cant recal its exact name but its something like "record of prior acceptance" or something along those lines.

At work we have been known, unofficially, to accept student who didnt apply to UCAS right up until the end of September (2 weeks AFTER term starts!)

Given the change in Uni funding arrangements 2 years ago Unis are likely to be as helpful as they can - you are worth about £12k to them over a four year course.

Can confirm this. I missed all deadlines, applied direct to the University and filled in the UCAS form afterwards. Delayed my funding through the SLC but a lot of students had this anyway. I think its only a major problem if you need accommodation on campus for the first year.
