is this more pretend sports world offers? Sporrts world own karrimor and seem to sell it at discounted prices but most of it was never sold at the full asking pricet o start with.0

I think they've been '70% off' for at least 4 months
However, I've had a pair for that long and I quite like them. They're lasting well for the price. I've also bought a few very good backpacks for around £8. If you have a few branches nearby it's worth visiting different ones. Some have the boxes out so you can take time and try different sizes and types, but in other branches you have to keep asking and the sales people seem to dissolve when you approch them

don't get half sizes with Karrimor products.
Got burnt doing it buying a 120 pounds walking boots, and found these walking shoes the same the other day.
Seems that say for size 7 1/2 shoes, they use size 8 insoles (they didn't make 1/2 size insoles LOL!) - so you'll find the sole all crinkled up !
no wonder they went bust.
Mark.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -

Karrimor products currently available are just sh*te made by Sports World, who now own the name.
Nothing to do with the quality products which were once made by Karrimor, which went bust in early 2004 due to a badly-advised purchase of another company (YHA Outdoor or similar) which was in Administration, in an attempt to go into retail themselves.
This dragged down Karrimor in approx Feb 2004.
Blacks is about to be taken over by Sports World, so there goes another quality brand down the swanny...British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I'm a firm believer in market forces. If these so-called 'quality' brands can't make a viable business out of it, is it Sportsworld's fault?0

No, but Sports World pass off rubbish as the 'original' product. That's why they buy up brand names.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
